Summary
An oak chair, one of a set of five, English/Irish, provincial, late 18th century. Each with an almost straight toprail above a waisted Gothic splat, pierced with tracery bifoils. The seat upholstered in modern cotton upholstery of peach flowers against a cream ground edged with pink gimp. The underside covered with hemp canvas and straps. With loose cover of blue gingham.
