Summary
Oil painting on canvas, Sir Charles Abraham Elton, 6th Bt (1778-1853) by James Curnock (1812-1870), circa 1850. A portrait of the son of Reverend Sir Abraham Elton, 5th Bt (1755-1842) and Eliza Durbin as a mature man, head and shoulders, turned slightly to the right, gazing at spectator, balding with white hair, long sideburns but clean shaven, wearing a black coat with a glimpse of a red waistcoat beneath, white shirt and black stock. Dark background.
