Summary
Mantel clock by Raingo Freres, Paris, c. 1840, in lush foliate rococo porcelain case, on carved and gilt wood base; the case in pale blue with flowers painted in gilt surrounds; on the front a painted scene of a girl reading, a lute beside her; the foliage gilded on white ground. Conservation: C. Kemp, 1994 (movement), K. Robinson, 1994 (case).
