Summary
A mahogany and satinwood banded secretaire linen press, English, circa 1800. The upper section with moulded cornice and drop pendant frieze, enclosed by a pair of doors with ovals inlaid with urns and floral swags in sycamore and harewood, three pull-out trays within (two missing), the lower section with drop-front secretaire drawer lined with green leather and fitted with eight drawers and six pigeonholes, a further three long graduated drawers below, all with brass handles, standing on bracket feet.

Bequeathed to the National Trust by Mrs C.V. Lawson in 1981.
