Summary
A figured mahogany and inlaid linen press, English, circa 1770. The upper section enclosed by a pair of doors, crossbanded and centred with large sycamore conch shells, below a fluted frieze interspersed with sunburst roundels in sycamore and harewood and surmounted by a triangular pediment, the lower section with two short and one long chequer-strung drawers with original handles, standing on bracket feet, later adapted for hanging space, the two short drawers now dummy.
