Summary
One of four 19th century circular metal bowls used for spice and kept inside a brass spice box. Normally spices would have been locked away because of their expense but this box would be to contain spices wanted for the day’s menus being made in the kitchen.
Provenance
Purchased for the National Trust at Attingham by Richard Batho for the restoration of the Victorian Kitchen circa 2010.
