Summary
A 19th century square brass box with handle. The box has two flip top lids with a central hinge and inside are located four detachable circular metal bowls for the spices. Normally spices would have been locked away because of their expense but this box would be to contain spices wanted for the day’s menus being made in the kitchen.

Purchased for the National Trust at Attingham by Richard Batho for the restoration of the Victorian Kitchen circa 2010.
