Summary
One of two small medals made by Spink and Son Ltd, hung on a silk ribbon and sewn to a silver bar. The British War Medal is made of silver and cast with the head of King George V in profile to left. Stored in a leather box with its companion medal showing a winged classical figure holding a torch. Circa 1919.
Provenance
Attingham collection; bequeathed to the National Trust with the estate, house and contents of Attingham by Thomas Henry Noel-Hill, 8th Baron Berwick (1877-1947) on 15th May 1953.
