Summary
One of two linen bobbin lace borders. Cream undyed bleached linen bobbin tape lace (tapes 04 mm). Meanders with circular mesh ground joined across back of tapes. Linen bobbin lace edging 10 mm. Straight footing and heading; edged at heading, finished one end, cut one end. A 17th century Flemish lace used in the 20th century. c.1930.

Found in straw box with other laces and notes written by Lady Berwick (1890-1972). 8th Lady Berwick collection; bequeathed to the National Trust by Edith Teresa Hulton, Lady Berwick (1890-1972).
