Summary
One of two printed cotton chintz swag tails. Part of a set of fourteen items of window curtain furnishings. Cotton plain weave, roller printed green; blue; pink-red; yellow; drab; black. Loom width 680 mm, glazed finish. Design; Repeat 350 mm Main ground sprigged flowers, one side border of flowers round pole. As ATT/T/125/1 and on b) only. Blue/green cotton glazed. Longer length one side( a) and b) opposing); two widths placed vertical; bordered two sides and bottom sloping edge. Lined throughout, hemmed three sides, cut top edge with tack marks. Made in Lancashire by an unknown printer and professional upholsterer circa 1860.
