Summary
Georgian style silver sugar basin with plain body raised on a circular foot and with a beaded and scalloped rim. Two S-scroll side handles. Engraved with the Berwick crest and coronet. Part of a four-piece silver tea service of Dublin manufacture in 1919. Engraved and supplied by Robinson & Co., The Square, Shrewsbury, on the occasion of the marriage of 8th Lord and Lady Berwick on 30th June 1919. To be used in conjunction with a large rectangular Georgian style silver tea tray with rounded corners and two side handles presented to Lord and Lady Berwick by the Tenants of the Attingham Estate.
Provenance
Formerly 8th Lord and Lady Berwick collection. Bought back for Attingham Park from Julia Hulton by the National Trust in July 1992.
