Summary
A Georgian style silver tea service consisting of a teapot, hot water jug, milk jug and twin-handled sugar basin. Engraved with the Berwick crest and coronet. The hot water jug is inscribed: 'Presented to LORD and LADY BERWICK ON THEIR MARRIAGE. By the Cottagers and Workmen on the ATTINGHAM ESTATE 30th June 1919'. Dublin manufacture, 1919. Engraved and supplied by Robinson & Co., The Square, Shrewsbury. To be used in conjunction with a large rectangular Georgian style silver tea tray with rounded corners and two side handles presented to Lord and Lady Berwick by the Tenants of the Attingham Estate.
Provenance
Formerly 8th Lord and Lady Berwick collection. Bought back for Attingham Park from Julia Hulton by the National Trust in July 1992.
