Summary
Lobed cover fitted with a foliate scroll handle for a circular silver entrée dish with shaped reed and tie border. Engraved inscription to cover: 'PRESENTED TO Colonel The Honble W Noel Hill upon his retiring from THE SHROPSHIRE MILITIA as a token of the esteem and affection of his Brother Officers 1855'. Makers' marks for Smith and Nicholson of Duke Street, London, 1855.
