Summary
One of two plain silver-gilt sugar bowls, raised on three claw feet with acanthus leaf cappings and joined by a beaded band. A similar beaded border applied to rim. Engraved with the Berwick coat of arms. Fitted with a separate glass liner. Makers' marks for Andrew Fogelberg and Stephen Gilbert, London, 1787.
Provenance
Attingham collection; bequeathed to the National Trust with the estate, house and contents of Attingham by Thomas Henry Noel-Hill, 8th Baron Berwick (1877-1947) on 15th May 1953.
