Summary
Oil painting on panel, An Unknown Man by Andrea Piccinelli, called Il Brescianino (fl.1507 – 1525), circa 1520. A half-length portrait of a man, turned to left, head facing. He is wearing a black cap, black coat and white shirt, his right hand in his coat, possibly in a sling (this hand may have been visible since the dress covering it seems to have been repainted).

Attingham collection. 1847 Catalogue of Paintings, p.21; 1861 Inventory p.226; bequeathed to the National Trust with the estate, house and contents of Attingham by Thomas Henry Noel-Hill, 8th Baron Berwick (1877-1947) on 15th May 1953.
