Summary
An oval shaped iron cauldron of 3 gallon size, the larger of two cauldrons of different sizes, with an overall notched handle and a separate lid with a handle. Manufactured by J. and J. Siddons Ltd. of West Bromwich, Staffordshire. Circa 19th Century. Manufacturers name and cauldron size marked on the side of the cauldron with the cauldron size additionally marked inside the lid.
Provenance
A gift to the National Trust from the builder working at Moseley Old Hall, Wolverhampton. Transferred to Attingham Park by Moseley Old Hall for display in the restored kitchen, circa 1998/9.
