Summary
A walnut table, Italian, possibly Naples, early 19th century. Unusually, with a top revolving on a series of castors set into the top edge of the table's frieze. The top also with a pierced brass gallery. Raised on four turned and tapering legs joined by four short stretchers to a central circular platform, also with a pierced brass gallery. The feet fitted with brass and wooden castors.
Provenance
Believed to be 3rd Lord Berwick collection: William Noel-Hill, 3rd Baron Berwick (1773-1842). By descent bequeathed to the National Trust with the estate, house and partial contents of Attingham by Thomas Henry Noel-Hill, 8th Baron Berwick (1877-1947) and transferred to the National Trust on 15th May 1953.
