Summary
Small octagonal dish raised on low oval foot. Transfer printed in underglaze blue with the 'Willow' pattern with butterfly border. Narrow cell border around foot. Manufactured by Brameld and Co., Yorkshire, circa 1820. The Rockingham Works situated on the Earl Fitzwilliam's Rockingham estate near Swinton were managed by the Bramelds from 1806 to 1842. A wide range of earthenwares were produced, and also fine porcelains from 1826 (Geoffrey A. Godden: The Handbook of British Pottery and Porcelain Marks)..
