Summary
Large baluster shaped jug with curved spout, moulded scroll handle and raised on circular foot. Transfer printed in underglaze blue with 'Northern Scenery' pattern. Mountainous landscape with lake, sailing boats and trees. Scroll border. Manufactured by John Meir and Son of Tunstall, Staffordshire, between 1837 and 1850.
