Summary
Inverted baluster jug with straight neck, curved spout and angled scroll handle. Transfer printed in underglaze blue with the 'Villager' pattern, a peasant family standing before a farm and a family of goats in front of a ruined abbey. Floral border. Manufactured by Dillwyn & Co., Swansea, between 1824 and 1850. Lewis Weston Dillwyn took over ownership of the Cambrian Pottery, in Swansea, in 1810. In 1811 the company became known as Dillwyn & Co.
