Summary
Small oval indented meat dish transfer printed in underglaze blue with 'Europa' pattern, based on Greek mythology. In the foreground Europa being led away on a white bull (the god Zeus in disguise) by three classical maidens, Italianate town in background. Sprays of large flowers to border. Manufactured by J. and R. Riley between 1810 and 1820.
