Summary
Dished plate with ten sides. Transfer printed in underglaze blue with a classical statue of naked female holding two children. Set amongst terraces and urns in a mountainous landscape. Diaper border of scroll cartouches and vistas. Manufactured by Barker and Son, Staffordshire, between 1850 and 1860. Illustrated on p.63 of 'Staffordshire Pottery' by Petra Williams.
