Summary

Lozenge shaped, eight-sided pearlware teapot and lid, gallery rim moulded acanthus motif, duck finial on lid, fluted spout and acanthus leaf thumbrest to handle. Transfer printed in blue with chinoiserie landscapes. Plantain leaf border to base. Possibly manufacturedd by Thomas Harley of Longport, Staffordshire, circa 1805.

Provenance

Miss Doreen Hunt collection (No.54). A gift to the National Trust from Miss Doreen Hunt, in May 1991.
