Summary

Pale blue jasperware column candlestick, fluted stem with acanthus leaf capital, raised on square plinth with canted corners. Decorated in relief with acanthus leaf borders, a laurel wreath and a band of cherubs at play. Manufactured by Josiah Wedgwood circa 1780.

Alderman Lucas collection of Wateringbury; Miss Adam-Smith Bessemer Wright collection; bequest to the National Trust from Miss Adam-Smith, Bessemer Wright, 5th July 1990.
