Summary
Baluster shaped earthenware water jug with wide lip and high strap handle. Transfer printed pink rose buds against plain white ground. Gilt line highlighting. Probably intended for use as a bedroom washstand ewer. Manufactured in Dresden circa 1900.

Attingham collection; bequeathed to the National Trust with the estate, house and contents of Attingham by Thomas Henry Noel-Hill, 8th Baron Berwick (1877-1947) on 15th May 1953.
