Summary
A pair of soft paste porcelain election jugs with spiral band to body, on circular base, cylindrical neck with bird beak spout and C-scroll handle. Underglaze blue transfer printed with coat of arms and motto for Shropshire and the Hill family intertwined; 'THE CORPORATION AND WILLIAM HILL' (printed on ribbon). Possibly made by Caughley or early Coalport, circa 1807.

Attingham collection; bequeathed to the National Trust by Edith Teresa Hulton, Lady Berwick (1890-1972).
