Summary
A woman's shoe from a pair of shoes, made from maroon silk velvet. The shoe is extensively decorated with gold thread embroidery in a floral pattern and with gold braid around the shoe upper. The low, straight wooden heel is covered in maroon velvet which is similarly embroidered, as is the velvet insole. It has a leather sole, with a brass edging around the heel and is partially lined in maroon canvas.
