Summary
A man's pair of Royal Artillery riding breeches in heavy gauge navy blue wool facecloth with two wide stripes in red wool facecloth proper right and left hand sides. The breeches are fly fronted, with 6 fastening buttons embossed with the detail "Hawkes & Co, Piccadilly" and four further embossed buttons around the waistband for braces. There are also two small (unembossed) fastening buttons on each ankle and dark grey suede kneepatches. A label inside the waistband reads, 'Made by Hawkes and Co, Piccadilly for H Boyd, Cpn'.
