Summary
A baby's christening robe made from white cotton lawn. The capped sleeve robe is decorated on the cuffs, neckline and waist with machine embroidered white cotton lace, with broderie anglaise, cotton lace, pintucking and cream cross stitch embroidery on the bib. The skirt is decorated with pintucking, broderie anglaise and cotton lace insertion in stripes from waist to hem, with further cream cross stitch embroidery and a cotton lace flounce around the hem. The robe is unlined and fastens with two cotton ties centre back, intact.
