Summary
A woman's bodice for a wedding gown, made from cream silk taffeta with Renaissance-style cream cotton tape lace overlay and embroidered linen inserts. The bodice is long-sleeved, with vertical slashes in the sleeves to reveal the silk taffeta underneath and cuffs trimmed with a deep flounce of cream cotton lace. It has a round neck and is gathered into a pleated cream silk taffeta boned waistband, with one decorative silk bow centre front and four matching bows centre back. The bodice is fully lined in cream silk taffeta and fastens centre front with twenty hooks and eyes, intact.
