Summary
A baby's christening robe made from white cotton cambric. The long-sleeved robe is trimmed on the neckline and gathered cuff with white cotton lace, with broderie anglaise insertion, feather stitch and pintucking on the bib and a matching waistband with integral waist ties. The skirt has a central panel of pintucking and broderie anglaise insertion, edged with feather stitch and the hem is pintucked both front and back. The robe is unlined and fastens centre back with two cotton ties, intact. Handsewn in red thread on the outer bodice seam, centre back, the letter "R".
