Summary
A woman's pair of bifurcated bloomers in white cotton cambric. The bloomers have two entirely separate legs which are joined at the waist (bifurcated). Each leg has a knee cuff which is decorated with white cotton torchon lace insertion and trim and is otherwise undecorated. Internally, the bloomers are unlined and fasten with a cotton gathering string around the waist and two metal fabric covered buttons, intact. A handwritten marking inside the waistband, only partly distinguishable, reads "?.E.Sharp". Belonged to Emily Sharp c.1843-1945
