Summary
A woman's bodice made from fine white cotton muslin and embroidered silk net. The upper half of the bodice is made from silk net insertion, which has been extensively embroidered in flower and leaf motifs and feather stitching in white cotton thread. The lower half and full-length sleeves are made from cotton muslin which has been decorated with whitework embroidery worked in cotton thread, also in a floral pattern and feather stitch. The cuff is trimmed with embroidered net. The bodice is unlined and fastens with seven self-covered buttons centre front, intact. To go with 603698.2 (skirt fragment).
