Summary
A woman's hostess apron, made from dark brown silk velvet. The apron is decorated with appliqued white cotton lace in a looped design around the border and to create two false patch pockets centre front, otherwise undecorated. The apron is unlined and edged on the reverse side with black silk taffeta, with a single round dark blue velvet button on the waist and a brown twisted cotton cord tie, intact. A handwritten and handsewn label attached to the inner hem of the waistband reads, "McDonald-Tyler".
