Summary
A woman's handkerchief made from white cotton lawn and cotton lace. The handkerchief is decorated on the upper left quarter with satin-stitch whitework embroidery in a mixed floral and butterfly motif and is edged with machine-made torchon lace. Hand-embroidered on the lower right side of the handkerchief in white thread the name "May".
