Summary
A woman's fan made from paper, with wooden ribs, ivory sticks and ivory guards. The paper leaf is painted with a scene of fashionable ladies from the period with partial gilding, mounted on wooden ribs with plain ivory sticks and decoratively carved guards, depicting a figure of a woman with mixed floral motifs. The sticks are secured at the base with a small rivet and plate in silver metal, intact.
