Summary
A woman's skirt made from embroidered cream silk gauze. The deconstructed skirt (now two separate panels) is decorated with white cotton thread in a pattern of flowers, leaves and swags and is otherwise undecorated. The skirt has no surviving lining or fastenings. A hand-sewn label stitched to the skirt panels reads "Mrs Mitchell", the donor.
