Summary
A woman's bodice, part of a wedding ensemble, made from cream silk/wool blend fabric. The bodice sleeves are gathered and pintucked, trimmed with cream cotton lace and with a deep embroidered cream cotton net cuff. The high collar and bib are made from matching cotton lace and embroidered net, with the remainder of the front trimmed with vertical and diagonal pintucks, matching lace trim and six small cream silk ribbon flowers. The reverse is similarly decorated. The bodice is fully lined in white glazed cotton, with six boning strips and seventeen hooks and eyes centre back for fastening, one missing.
