Summary
A woman's dressing gown made from figured white cotton lawn. The lawn ground fabric has an overall woven design of squares and crosses, with the neckline and bodice facings trimmed with white cotton lace. The long sleeves and bodice front are trimmed with a combination of broderie anglaise insertion and bands of ruched white lawn, with a scalloped broderie anglaise flounce around the bodice hem and cuffs. The skirt front facings have matching broderie anglaise insertion and ruched lawn bands, with a vertical scalloped broderie anglaise flounce from waist to lower hem. The bodice is lined with white cotton lawn and the dressing gown buttons from neck to skirt hem with 10 self-covered metal buttons, intact.
