Summary
A woman's polonaise-style open robe in beige and blue striped silk brocade. The silk is decorated with a floral motif across the main ground in beige, with matching scalloped silk pieces used to decorate the neckline. The sleeves are half-length, with a deep shaped cuff which is decorated with extensive pleating and braided edging. Internally, the bodice is fully lined in linen and the skirt is fully lined in beige silk. The bodice is boned centre back, with two original gathering cords on the inner face along with two self-covered buttons centre back on the outer face, used to arrange the skirt polonaise-style.
