Summary
A baby's christening robe, made from fine white cotton. The long-sleeved robe is decorated on the cuffs, neckline and bib with torchon lace and broderie anglaise panels, with pink cotton velvet ribbon insertion around the waist. The lower half of the skirt is decorated with horizontal bands of pintucking, torchon lace and broderie anglaise, with a scalloped hem. The robe is unlined and fastens with a mother of pearl button, a self-covered button and a cotton tie centre back, all intact.
