Summary
One of a pair of ebonised cherrywood chairs, probably Dutch, early 19th century. 17th century Dutch colonial style, each with a carved crest depicting biblical scenes and with twist turnings, the rush seat raised on conforming legs, tied by stretchers.
Provenance
Given by Frank Green (1861-1954) along with house, garden and contents to the National Trust in 1930.
