Summary
A walnut upholstered backstool, French or English, circa 1650. Upholstered in a contemporary and probably original textile, with padded back and seat raised on turned legs tied by a low H stretcher and a high front stretcher, brass studs pin the upholstery.
Provenance
Given by Frank Green (1861-1954) along with house, garden and contents to the National Trust in 1930.
