Summary
One of a pair of oriental vases. Part of a set of a five piece Garniture de Cheminée (Chimney garniture), of lobed section, three covered jars and two tall vases, painted in grisaille (fine black), iron red enamel and gold with reserved panels of roosters and gold fish. Porcelain, unmarked, Qianlong period (1736-95), c. 1750-70. Purchased at Christie's in 1912, and sent to Paris for repairs by Isaacs, the dealer.
