Portrait miniature, watercolour on ivory, Sir John Trevelyan, 4th Bt. (1734-1828), attributed to Samuel Collins (Bristol 1735 – Dublin 1768). c.1757. Oval. Head and shoulders portrait of a man, turned to the right, gazing at the spectator, wearing a purple coat. Light brown eyes, black hair in queue, very pale (faded) complexion, aged about 30. Plain grey background, lit from the left.
