Portrait miniature, watercolour on ivory, Sir John Trevelyan, 5th Bt. (1761-1846), attributed to Richard Cosway RA (Tiverton, Devon 1742 - London 1821). c.1791 Oval. Head and shoulders portrait of a man, turned to the right, gazing at the spectator, wearing a brown velvet coat, white waistcoat and voluminous shirt ruffle. Grey eyes, white powdered hair, ruddy complexion, aged about 30. Blue background, lit from the left.
