Summary
A mahogany commode chair, English, circa 1730. The arched and waisted back with solid vase splat and toprail with scroll detail, the floral needlework cross-stitch drop-in seat covering a fitted chamber pot with lid, above a deep frieze rail and standing on cabriole front legs with pad feet.

Originally on loan from Simon Francis Raymond Pettit then purchased by the National Trust
