Summary
A Chelsea-Derby figure of a seated Nun reading from a book on her knee, which is inscribed 'Spes mia in Deo'. She wears a brown, black and white habit, and is seated on an oval mound base with green and white markings.
Provenance
Bought from William Redmile, Grantham, in about 1964. The model is taken from the Chelsea figure, circa 1755.
