Summary
A fine and rare pair of Bow nuns representing a Mother Superior and a Novice. Both figures have purple hooded habits and gilt starred white robes. The Mother Superior holds an open book inscribed 'Vanitatum Vanitas' in one hand. The Novice has an impressed 'G' mark underglaze on the side of the base and is holding book with two hands. This is the Novice
