Summary
Teapot and a cover, porcelain, of globular form, straight spout and loop handle, domed cover with 'acorn' finial, made in Jingdezhen, Jiangxi province, China, c. 1740-1750; decorated in underglaze cobalt blue, painted with stylised flowers on the body, below a diaper band at the shoulder, the cover similarly decorated.

The cover is too small for the teapot and had probably come from either a smaller teapot or a sugar bowl.
